Mode for the Invention
[33] Hereinafter, a cutting device for a roll of wrapper material according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[34] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a cutting device for a roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention, FIG. 3 is a detailed view showing a support part of the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention, FIG. 4 is a detailed view showing a cutting part of the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a view showing the operation of the cutting part of the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention.
[35] As shown in FIG. 1, the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material according to the present invention includes a main body 10. A bar 20 and support parts 30 are provided in the main body 10 to hold and support the roll of wrapper material 1. A cutting part 40 functions to cut the roll of wrapper material 1 (see FIG. 2), after being unrolled, to a desired length.
[36] In such a construction, the main body 10 includes an upper plate 11, side plates 12 which extend downwards from both ends of the upper plate 11, and a front plate 13 which is horizontally mounted to the upper surfaces of the side plates 12. The main body 10, constructed as described above, is generally attached to the surface of a wall.
[37] The bar 20 and the support parts 30 serve to hold the roll of wrapper material 1, which is inserted between the lower ends of the side plates 12 of the main body 10. The interval between the support parts 30 fitted over the bar 20 can be adjusted, so that it is possible to easily mount rolls of wrapper material having various widths to the cutting device.
[38] The cutting part 40 is slidably mounted on the front plate 13 and cuts the roll of wrapper material 1 after the wrapper material held by the bar 20 is unrolled to a desired length and is placed on the upper plate 11.
[39] FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a detailed view showing the support part of the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention. Referring to FIG. 2, the upper plate 11, the side plates 12, and the front plate 13 are manufactured separately and then assembled with each other, thus providing the main body 10. However, the main body may be manufactured to have a single structure through injection molding.
[40] The process of mounting the bar 20 and the support parts 30 to the main body 10 will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3.
[41] The bar 20 is mounted to the inner surfaces of the side plates 12 of the main body
10. The bar is detachably mounted to the main body so that the roll of wrapper material 1 can be easily replaced with another one.
[42] That is, as shown in FIG. 2, a guide/insert part 50 is provided on the inner surface of each side plate 12, with an end 51 of the guide/insert part curved downwards. When the bar 20 is pushed into the openings of the guide/insert parts 50, the ends of the bar 20 are disposed in the downwardly curved ends 51. In this way, the bar 20 is held between the inner surfaces of the side plates 12.
[43] The support parts 30 are axially mounted on the bar 20, thus allowing the roll of wrapper material 1 to be mounted on the bar 20 regardless of the width of the wrapper material 1. As shown in FIG. 3, each support part 30 is provided with a protruding ball 31 which is elastically biased to the inner circumference of the support part, thus locking the support part moving along the bar 20 to a predetermined position on the bar 20.
[44] In a detailed description, a hole 34 is formed in each support part 30 to extend to a central axis thereof, so that part of the protruding ball 31 protrudes out of the hole. A plug screw 33 is provided in the hole 34 to support a spring 32 for elastically biasing the protruding ball 31 and to close the hole 34.
[45] A plurality of grooves 21 is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the bar
20 at predetermined intervals, each securing a corresponding support part 30 to a predetermined position on the bar 20 after the support part is moved along the bar to the predetermined position. [46] Thus, while each support part 30 held on the bar 20 is pushed by external force, the protruding ball 31 enters the hole at the outer circumferential surface of the bar between the grooves 21. Conversely, the protruding ball protrudes out of the hole at each groove 21. Thereby, each support part 30 can be secured to the bar 20 at a predetermined position.
[47] Meanwhile, in the case where the roll of wrapper material 1 is wrapping, the surface of the wrapping that is cut by the cutting part 40 may be rolled. In order to prevent the cut surface from rolling up, an adhesion surface 13' is provided on the front plate 13. Holding recesses 14 are formed on opposite sides of the front plate 13, thus allowing the wrapping to be easily torn off in the state where the wrapping is attached to the adhesion surface 13'.
[48] Next, FIG. 4 is a detailed view showing the cutting part of the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a view showing the operation of the cutting part of the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material, according to the present invention.
[49] The cutting part of the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5.
[50] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the cutting part 40 is slidably mounted to the front plate
13, and cuts the roll of wrapper material after the roll of wrapper material is unrolled to a desired length and is placed on the upper plate. To this end, a slide groove 15 is formed on the front plate 13.
[51] The cutting part 40 is mounted to the slide groove 14 formed on the front plate 13.
A double-edged blade 41 passes through the slide groove 15. In such a state, one end of the blade is fastened to a handle 42, while the other end of the blade is fastened to a driven member 46. The double-edged blade 41 is located in the slide groove 15.
[52] Further, rollers 45 and 48 are mounted to surfaces of the handle 42 and the driven member 46, which contact the front plate 13, thus allowing the cutting part to easily slide along the slide groove 15.
[53] That is, one end of the double-edged blade 41 is located in the handle 42, which comprises two pieces. In order to increase the contact force between the handle 42 and the double-edged blade 41, the handle and the double-edged blade are fastened to each other using a fastening screw 44, with rubber packings 43 interposed between the handle and the blade.
[54] Further, the other end of the double-edged blade 41 is located in the driven member
46, which comprises two pieces. The blade and the driven member are fastened to each other using a fastening screw 47.
[55] As a result, even when the handle 42 is held and the cutting part slides leftwards or rightwards to cut the wrapper material, the double-edged blade 41 is not removed from the front plate 13. [56] Hereinafter, the operation of the cutting device for the roll of wrapper material according to the present invention, constructed as described above, will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[57] First, the roll of wrapper material 1 is fitted over the bar 20.
[58] Thereafter, the support parts 30 are fastened to both sides of the bar 20, and are pushed inwards. Thereby, the roll of wrapper material 1 is secured to the bar by the support parts 30. [59] That is, when each support part 30 fitted over the bar 20 is pushed by external force, the protruding ball 31 enters the hole at the outer circumferential surface of the bar between the grooves 21. Conversely, the protruding ball protrudes out of the hole at each groove 21, so that each support part 30 is secured to the bar 20 at a predetermined position. [60] In such a state, when the bar 20 is pushed into the guide/insert part 50 of each side plate 12, the bar 20 is seated in the end 51 of the guide/insert part 50. Thereby, the bar
20 is held between the side plates 12. Consequently, the roll of wrapper material 1 is located in the main body 10. [61] Next, the roll of wrapper material 1 held on the bar 20 is unrolled to a desired length and is placed on the upper plate 11. In such a state, the roll of wrapper material is cut by sliding the cutting part 40. [62] In this case, the cutting part 40 has the double-edged blade. Thus, when the cutting part slides in one direction, it is not necessary to return the cutting part to its original position in order to conduct a following cutting operation. [63] Meanwhile, in the case where the roll of wrapper material is wrapping, the roll of wrapper material is cut by the cutting part 40. Simultaneously, the remaining portion is attached to the adhesion surface 13' of the front plate 13 due to adhesive force. [64] Therefore, when one desires to use the wrapping a subsequent time, the wrapping attached to the adhesion surface 13' is torn off through the holding recesses 14 of the front plate 13 and is unrolled again, so that a fast wrapping operation is possible.
