Definitions
- the present invention concerns a motorised, remote controlled winding device to be applied to a pipe, whereby the assembly constitutes the centre of the wound material.
- Motorised winding devices operated remotely via a box on the wall or directly with pushbuttons are already known. These are driven by mains power and the motor part can be fitted with means of sensing limit position so that the motor can be stopped when fully wound in or out.
- One of the attachments on the device can be fitted with a motor for activating the winding shaft.
- winding devices remotely operated via a box on the wall or directly with pushbuttons are previously known, they have the disadvantage of using leads to operate the winding device. It is easy to understand that the requirement of leads is detrimental to the usability and flexibility of the devices.
- the object of the present invention is to achieve a winding device of the type described in the introduction that does not exhibit these disadvantages and which is compact and considerably simpler to install and exhibit.
- This object of the invention can be achieved with a winding device exhibiting the distinctive features and characteristics specified in claim 1.
- the winding device forms a compact design that is applied to a pipe so that the assembly constitutes the centre of the wound material. This means that its appearance is similar to manual winding devices with the possibility of using standard mounting brackets that are available.
- the winding shaft is made of a material that allows signals to pass from the remote control for controlling winding in and out respectively.
- a shaft running from the motor is mounted to an external fixed bracket, whereby the entire winding device will rotate around a radial axis. Manoeuvring is done from a remote control as long as one of the buttons for winding in or out is kept depressed.
- fig. 1 shows an exploded view of a motor-driven, remote controlled winding device
- fig. 2 shows an assembly of a motor-drive, remote controlled winding device
- fig: 3 shows how the motor-driven, remote controlled winding device is joined to a pipe that constitutes the centre of the wound material.
- the motor-driven, remote controlled winding device for sheet material such as a blind shown in figs. 1 , 2 and 3, will represent the construction applied in this example.
- a winding shaft 5 for a blind encloses all the parts and is made of a material that allows signals to pass from the remote control 6. Journal 7 from motor 1 is adapted to existing standard brackets. The winding device is manoeuvred with a remote control 6 on which button 8 for winding in or button 9 for winding out is held in.
- Device according to fig. 2 shows the motor 1, control card 2 and batteries 3 mounted in the winding shaft 5 and forms a compact unit manoeuvred with remote control 6.
- Device according to fig. 3 shows winding device 10 joined to a pipe 11 to achieve a winding centre with determined diameter manoeuvred with the remote control 6. The design is hereby given a discrete appearance and installation can be done on standard brackets.
- winding in and out respectively is achieved only through the power of the motor.
- Alternative embodiments are possible however, for example a spring can be applied to the pipe to relieve the motor.
- the invention should thus not be regarded as being limited to what is shown and described in the aforesaid but the idea of invention can also comprise different variants, which must be regarded as being within the framework of the following claims.
