Abstract

The aluminium framework system with wooden inner coating is designed for use when making openings, windows or building façades. It refers to a system of aluminium profiled frameworks with clipping bolts (female) suitable to receive a small, thin bar (4), that is pre-glued onto decorative wooden profiles of different shapes (1); the frame aluminium profiles feature thermal rupture junctions and large-sized internal boxes (2); and a sealing/insulating material is applied between the frames and the wall or structure (3) which in its extension to the interior acts as a support and isolates the structure/wall decorative peripheral frame.

Description

ALUMINIUM FRAMEWORK SYSTEM WITH WOODEN INNER COATING
SPECIFICATION OF PATENT
This application for patent of invention refers to a framework system that uses an decorative and insulating coating, that is applied on the inside of openings or windows, especially those made with aluminium frames.
There is no knowledge of an appropriate and replaceable coating being used in the aluminium framework interior. The methods used until now have been improvised; generally done with a decorative materials gluing directly in the aluminium, or by fixing those decorative materials using common screws, clinches or nails.
Several technical draw-backs result from these improvised methods, such as damage to the internal surfaces of the framework by the condensation between the material used and the aluminium, which corrupts the anodising and the lacquering, the gluing is an example, or damage by perforation, if screws or clinches are used. As these perforations allow water in and this can lead to corrosion because they are improvised and not done in appropriate places.
The drawbacks caused by improvisation mentioned above are a technical problem, which is made worse when it is necessary to replace the internal decoration or to replace the materials used, if it is necessary to match the internal framework forms and colours to the existing decoration and furniture, or simply change the decoration to a more appropriate colour. In general, after the damage in the aluminium framework has been identified, they are totally replaced, resulting in financial and environmental inconveniences, caused by the wasted residues.
This new system was studied and implemented due to the need to solve technical problems, and was also dictated by the greater need for quality and comfort in the new constructions, be they dwellings, leisure or trade constructions.
With the aluminium framework coating presented here, all the drawbacks mentioned previously are solved, because this system allows the easy technical solution in decorative remodelling, combining the isolation quality with the ease of changing the decorative diversity, without changing the aluminium framework. This aluminium framework system coated inside with decorative wooden frames (1) is the result of a technical study in the new profile drawing conception area, with larger-sized internal empty boxes (2) joined by thermal rupture structures, added of the interior in wood. Together they create an innovative product, especially in the aluminium - wood junction, combining the easy handling with the new design of modern buildings, being this system studied to be used at least in six group forms, according to the six details of the framing assembly attached hereto (drawings 1 to 6).
These sets have been technically studied and adjusted with aluminium profiles manufactured with clipping bolts (female), suitable to receive the small and thin bar (4 drawings 1 to 6) which is glued to the ornamental frames. The clipping small and thin bar features a box to house the glue (5 drawings 1 to 6). These sets feature always several thermal rupture junctions, i.e., they are composed of several flared aluminium profiles connected by polyamide profiles. In order to assemble this framework system, profiles with large-sized internal boxes have been studied (no. 2 of drawings 1 to 6), resulting in a considerable increase in thermal and acoustic insulation system technical characteristics. When these framework sets are assembled locally they become completely isolated from the walls or the structures on which they are assembled, because a sealing/insulating material is applied to them between the fixed frame and the wall (no. 3 drawings 1 to 6), assuring the aluminium frames tightness and isolation in the whole assembly periphery. This insulating plate stretches to the interior and the wooden frames are leaned against it, and in this way they do not touch the inner structure/wall surface.
The six different types of assemblies for this system (drawings 1 to 6) supported by other adequate profiles allow the execution of fixed embrasures, pivot-hung windows, one and two-leaf windows, swing-windowsills, front doors, swing-parallels, facade with assembled profiles separating the glazed, connections at a 90° angle and connections with varied angles.
Any assembly using this system does not require any external preservation/maintenance and on the inside it has a wooden framework with the whole of its beauty and comfort that can be easily replaced. The wood as a warmer and more decorative material can be suited to the interior decoration in various parts of the house, making the architects', designers', planners' and decorators' task easier, as they can let their imagination run wild, combining the beauty of wood frames and the harmony of the interior environment.
As the main novelty, the system features the decorative material application on the framework using an aluminium clipping profile; this profile (4) is applied to ornamental frames, which feature a unique recess where this gluing volume (no. 5 of drawings 1 to 6) is inlaid and glued. It is a scattering and natural thermal absorption area, between the aluminium and the wood as it is placed in a clipping profile empty space, because there are only two contact places between the clipping profile and the remaining frame structure also aluminium-made. The great thermal differences between the external framework and the inner coating slowly scatter without condensations. Although natural wood frames had been considered in this patent of invention application and in its studies, for decorative reasons and without changing the previous mentioned technical characteristics, the frames can be used in any other synthetic material that imitates the wood or any other similar material, which can be even in plastic with natural colours (more economical) or with textile coating, matching the curtains or other interior decoration.
To replace the decorative frame, it is only necessary to remove the inner decorative application applied and set the new decoration, to which the profile was previously glued (4).
This decorative insulation system can be . applied to the old aluminium framework already assembled. Firstly by using the traditional fixing among aluminium profiles, a clipping profile (female) is applied to the existing framework and then it is only necessary to apply the decorative frame to this system where the profile was previously glued (4).

Claims

1 - ALUMINIUM FRAMEWORK SYSTEM WITH WOODEN INNER COATING, that is intended for use in the openings, windows or building facades manufacturing, and it is characterized by presenting through the interior, several decorative profiles of wooden insulating frames (1). In a unique recess the frames feature a glued aluminium profile (4), containing fixing pins and specific features allowing them to be clipped or framed in the openings or windows framing aluminium, which already include grooves to house and hold the clipping profile, that only touches the framework in two places. The flared aluminium profiles used in this system are connected by polyamide-made thermal rupture profiles. The larger aluminium profiles have large-sized empty boxes on the inside (2). The entire aluminium framework structure is isolated from the building structure when a plate or band made of an insulating material is applied, which in its extension to the inside allows that a peripheral wood frame be leaned on it, being for that isolated and without contact with the building structure.
2 - THE ALUMINIUM FRAMEWORK SYSTEM WITH WOODEN INNER COATING - according to claim 1, is characterized by the possibility of applying to previously assembled and in-use frameworks the insulating/decorative component of the invention, provided that a female clipping frame is applied beforehand to those frameworks to receive the wooden, look-a-alike synthetic material or colour plastic- made decorative applications covered with decorative paper or textile products.
