WILLIAM E. BLAKE, OF SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS, ASSIGNOR TO THE KIJAKE MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-HANDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,445, dated December 22, 1896. Application filed July 22, 1896. Serial No. 600,170. Term of patent 3-1- years.
To all who/1t it may concern:
Be it known that I, WVILLIAM E. BLAKE, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Springfield, in the county of Hampden and State of Massael1usetts,have invented and produced a new and original Design for Tips and Ferrules for Bicycle-Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyin d rawi 11g, showing said design complete.
My invention relates to designs for bicyclehandles; and the essential features of my invention are the convex grip and the tapering corrugated tip and ferrule applied thereto, the corrugations being of equal Width and extending parallel with each other, as will be more fully described hereinafter.
The accompanying drawing represents a side elevation of a handle which embodies my invention.
A represents a portion of the handle-bar, 13 the grip, and C O the tip and ferrule applied to opposite ends of the grip. The grip is made round and tapers toward each end, and the tip and ferrule are both made tapering from their inner toward their outer ends and each one is provided with parallel corrugations a of equal Width.
Having thus described my invention, I clain1- The design for a bicycle handle substantially as shown and described.
