DESIGN FOR A LOCK-CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,158, dated October 6, 1896.
Application filed April 16, 1895. Serial No. 545,973. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM F. TROAST, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Lock- Cases, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, showing the same.
Figure 1 is a View of one side of a lock-ease embodying my design, Fig. 2 a View of the reverse side of the same, and Fig. 3 an edge View, these three views being deemed necessary to fully illustrate my design.
The leading features of my design consist in the ornamentation, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, and in the contours of the case, as illustrated in the three figures.
A is one side of the case; B, the reverse side; D, the edge thereof, and E centrally located bosses. (Shown in edge view in Fig. 3.)
F is the body of the case, having outwardlyeurved or convex sides; G, wings on opposite sides of body F, and Which taper from said body toward their outer ends, and H curved or semicircular heads on the extremities of said Wings.
M is the representation of a Wheel located in the center of body F in relief or cameo and having its periphery falling Within the curved side lines of said body; N, studs in the center of heads H on side A, and R two studs on each wing G on said side A, the stud N and the studs R on each end of said side ofthe case forming a triangle.
