Abstract
A telescoping foldable chair having a skeleton having a pair of lower leg frames of U shape each having a pair of outer legs connected with a ground bar, a pair of upper leg frames of inverted U shape each having a pair of inner legs connected with a top cross bar respectively slidable contained in one of the outer legs, a front and a rear sets each having a pair of inner tubes respectively pivotally linked to the top cross bars, a pair of outer tubes respectively pivotally linked to one lower end of the outer leg frames, and a central link which pivotally connects free ends of the inner and outer tubes, and, a sitting cloth attached on the skeleton. The telescoping foldable chair has a strong structure yet small folded volume.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The invention relates to a telescoping foldable chair, and more particularly, to a foldable chair which has a strong structure and small folded volume.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Shown in
FIGS. 4 and 5 is a conventional foldable chair 9. The foldable chair 9 has askeleton 91, a sittingcloth 92 attached thereto, and aback cloth 93 attached thereto. The foldable chair 9 has a plurality of linkingpoles 94 which is used to make the non-telescoping bars of theskeleton 91 foldable with respect to each other. This foldable chair 9 has some drawbacks: a volume of the foldable chair is large and a operation of folding and expanding may be dangerous since the linkingpoles 94 may nip fingers of a user. A smaller folded volume of foldable chair is favorite. But a smaller volume usually means less structure tubes of chair skeleton. Therefore, a foldable chair having relatively more constructive skeleton tubes thus stronger structure is needed in the market. - The main object of the invention is to provide a telescoping foldable chair having a strong structure yet small folded volume.
- In order to obtain above object, the invention provides a telescoping foldable chair having a skeleton having a pair of lower leg frames of U shape each having a pair of outer legs connected with a ground bar, a pair of upper leg frames of inverted U shape each having a pair of inner legs connected with a top cross bar respectively slidable contained in one of the outer legs, a front set having a pair of inner tubes respectively pivotally linked to the top cross bars, a pair of outer tubes respectively pivotally linked to one lower end of the outer leg frames, and a front central link which pivotally connects free ends of the inner and outer tubes, and a rear set having a pair of inner tubes respectively pivotally linked to the top cross bars, a pair of outer tubes respectively pivotally linked to one lower end of the outer leg frame, and a rear central link which pivotally connects free ends of the inner and outer tubes; and, a sitting cloth attached on the skeleton.
- These and other objectives, features, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, the accompanying drawings, and the appended claims.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the telescoping foldable chair of the invention. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a skeleton of the chair shown inFIG. 1 showing a process of folding of the chair. -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the skeleton of the chair shown inFIG. 1 showing a folded chair of the invention. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a conventional foldable chair. And, -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the conventional foldable chair shown inFIG. 4 with a cloth thereof removed. - As shown in
FIG. 1 , a preferred embodiment of a telescopingfoldable chair 1 of the invention has askeleton 10, a soft yet strong sittingcloth 20 attached on theskeleton 10, and a soft yetstrong back cloth 30 attached on theskeleton 10. - The
skeleton 10 has a pair oflower leg frames outer legs ground bar inner legs top cross bar outer leg arm frames back frames arm frames back cloth 30 is attached to the pair ofback frames skeleton 10. - The pair of
lower leg frames inner tubes top cross bars outer tubes outer leg frames outer tubes central link 153. - The rear set 16 has a pair of
inner tubes top cross bars outer tubes leg frames outer tubes central link 163. - With reference to
FIG. 2 , a process of using the telescoping foldable chair of the invention is shown. For better understand of operation, the sittingcloth 20 and theback cloth 30 are removed from the figure. In use, a user is able to rotate theback frames arm frames ground bars arm frames arm frame inner tubes top cross bar lower leg frames FIG. 2 . Then, the user will be able to rotate the pair ofarm frames top cross bar inner tubes outer tubes FIG. 3 . The user will be able to expand the telescoping foldable chair of the invention reverse to above mentioned process. - From above description, it is seen that the objects of the present invention have been fully and effectively accomplished. Embodiment of the invention has been shown and described for the purposes of illustrating the functional and structural principles of the present invention and is subject to change without departure from the invention's principles. Therefore, this invention includes all modifications encompassed within the spirit and scope of the following claims.
