IMPROVEMENT iN TOGUE-BOTS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No.1489309, dated Mareh l0, 1874 application tiled September 5, 1873.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, VILLIAM LEGG, of the town of Piqua, in the eounty of Miami and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Tongue-Boots; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, elear, and eXaet description of the invention, sueh as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which forin part of this specifica tion, in which drawings- Figure l is a side view, and Fig. 2 is a front view.

My invention consists of atongue-boot provided with two straps, eut in one piece with the baek of the boot-leg, and constructed and arranged so that the straps lap over the tongue and buckle in front, as herein described, and shown by the drawings.

A represents the foot or lower part of the boot. B is the baek, and b e are the straps, out in one pieee with the baek, and arranged to lap over the tongue O and buckle in front, as shown in the drawings. D is the front part of the leg, constructed to extend under the sides of the baek, as represented by the dotted line in Fig. l of the drawings.

What I ela-im, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is v A ton gue-boot having the baek B and straps b c eutY in one pieee, and constructed and arranged so that the straps lap over the tongue and buekle in front, substantially as described and shown.
