Abstract

The invention relates to a process for re-providing a useful transparent common electrode in manufacturing liquid crystal display. The liquid crystal displayer comprises a clean transparent common electrode and a plurality of protrusions specifically arrayed on the transparent common electrode. The process comprises the steps of (a) treating the common electrode having the protrusions with an alkaline solution containing a detergent for removing the protrusions; and (b) removing the alkaline solution containing the detergent residual on the common electrode.
