Abstract

This invention aims to provide a scissors structure capable of being folded, for improving the defect found in the conventional scissors in cutting objects where user's hands need to be placed at opposing ends of the objects to be cut in accommodation with the locations of the grip portions that would be obstructed by the objects thereby resulting in difficulty in cutting the objects, and the possibility of being slit by the locations where the objects are cut. This invention includes a pivotal piece which is formed to the grip portions of the scissors body. The cutting portion of the scissors body is formed thereon with a corresponding pivotal indent. A pivotal member is pivoted to the pivotal indent to allow the grip portions and the cutting portions to rotate with respect to each other, thereby allowing the grip portions to fold towards the same side. As such, at the time the user operates the scissors, this invention does not require the user's hands to accommodate the positions of the grip portions during operation, but are instead at the opposing ends of the objects to be cut, so as to enhance convenience in trimming the object, and to reduce the occurrences of user's hands being slit by the locations where the objects are cut.
