Abstract

The entry step fitting has an entry step (8) which can be folded and is under a vehicle door. It folds out to a lower position for use and up to the retracted position when the door is to be opened or closed. There is a motion transmission mechanism (46) to transmit motion from the door to the step. This mechanism is fitted between the operating element (24) on which the opening and closing movements of the door act directly, and an element (44) which is connected to the end (32) of the folding arm (34) attached to the vehicle.
