Abstract
Description
The invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in related fields of engineering.
A known method of gas non-contact silicification. In this method, the products are located above the reaction mixture and separated from it by a sand filter. The components of the siliconizing mixture are ferrosilicite and ammonium chloride.
The disadvantages of this method include the high energy intensity of the process, the need for sealing furnaces, and the fact that with the method it is impossible to carry out local silicification.
A known method of contact silicification in a mixture of silicon powder, inert additives (ammonium oxide, magnesium oxide, chromium dioxide, etc.). The products are covered with a reaction mixture, the container is sealed with a fusible seal and the process is carried out in an air atmosphere.
The disadvantages of this method include the fact that when it is implemented, stability of the results on the thickness of the siliconized layer and its composition is not ensured, which leads to a decrease in the service characteristics of the product. In addition, this method does not allow local silicification.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result to the invention is a method of liquid silicification. The method consists in the fact that the pre-cleaned surface of the products is brought into contact with a siliconizing agent. The siliconizing reagent is a melt of sodium silicate, in which metallic silicon, silicon carbide, etc. are added. The process is carried out in a special container. The process temperature is about 900-1100 C. The process time of 2-10 hours.
The disadvantages of this method include, first of all, significant gas evolution and the use of pre-dehydrated sodium silicate. Since industrial sodium silicate is a crystalline, for its destruction (dehydration) pre requires prolonged heating in the temperature range of 1100-1400 C. By this step, the total power consumption of siliciding process is extremely high. At this stage, significant gas evolution occurs, which requires the use of special equipment. In addition, in this method it is impossible to carry out local silicification.
The present invention reduces energy consumption and labor intensity for siliciding process by eliminating the step of preparing (prolonged heating at 1100-1400 ° C) of sodium silicate and by including the operation of melting and maintaining molten silitsiruyuschego reagent. The proposed method allows to completely eliminate the gas evolution that exists when implementing the known method. The implementation of the invention allows for an increase (heat resistance) of the quality of the siliconized layer to carry out local silicification.
The essence of the invention is to clean the surface of the products, bringing into contact with a siliconizing reagent, siliconizing and using organosilicon compounds as siliconizing reagents, which are applied to the surface in the form of a solution of the following composition, wt. %: silicon 0.1-10; organic solvent rest. The siliconizing reagent is applied locally to the areas to be siliconized.
The method is as follows.
A layer of organosilicon compound is applied to the cleaned and degreased surface of the products. The coating product is dried in air at 20 ° C for 20 minutes. If it is necessary to carry out general silicification, the organosilicon compound is applied to the entire surface of the product. With a certain type of product, it becomes necessary to carry out local silicification. In this case, the organosilicon compound is applied only on the areas (zones) subjected to siliconization.
The proposed method differs from the prototype in that an organosilicon compound is used as a siliconizing reagent and applied to the surface of products from a solution in an organic solvent.
П р и м е р 1. 1. PRI me
П р и м е р 2. PRI me
1, N 10).In the table. 2 shows the test results of alloy sheets
Of the presented in table. 2 of the data it follows that when creating a siliconized layer, the heat resistance of the VN10 alloy increases 1.2-1.7 times with holdings up to 100 hours. Siliconizing according to the prototype is impossible due to dissolution of the surface layer with a siliconizing reagent.
The method ensures high ecological purity of the process by eliminating the outgassing occurring during calcination of sodium silicate and silicon melt considerable masses uyuschego reagent. In addition, the implementation of the proposed method allows for local silicification, which is not feasible when implementing the prototype method.
