Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for å kontrollere en undervanns syklonseparator (5) i et undervanns prosessenngssystem for undervanns separasjon er beskrevet. Syklonseparatoren (5) er tilpasset til å separere hydrokarboner fra vann. Dette innbefatter å dirigere en hovedsakelig vanninneholdende væske inn i inntaket (4) av syklonseparatoren (5), ekstrahere en strømning som inneholder den vesentlige delen av hydrokarbonene fra et overløp (6) av syklonseparatoren (5) og hovedsakelig vann fra et underløp (7) av syklonseparatoren (5). Overløpet (6) og underløpet (7) er individuelt trykksatt av pumper (8, 9), der forholdet mellom pumperatene til pumpene (8, 9) bestemmer flow-spliten til syklonseparatoren (5). De individuelt trykksettende pumpene (8, 9) er drevet av en felles motor (10) og forholdet mellom pumperatene er satt til å korrespondere med et valgt trykkforhold som korresponderer med valgt flow-split av syklonseparatoren (5).
