Abstract

The mechanism feeds fish in ponds or fertilises the ponds, and comprises a boat (1) equipped with a hopper (5) and a dispensing head (7) above the water. A conveyor pipe runs (8) from the base of the hopper to the head, delivering the food or fertiliser to the latter. Delivery can be by compressed air, or by means of an auger inside the pipe. The head can be a spray nozzle, with a rotary plate beneath it, and the nozzle can be arranged to swing in an arc. The mechanism is easily adaptable to suit different systems of pisciculture, e.g. where the fish are fed by pellets scattered directly on the water, or deliverd into containers from which they are dispensed.
