Abstract

A monitoring device (I) that monitors a system including one or more component devices is provided with a log information acquisition unit ( I 0) that acquires log information which is output by a component device (2A, 2B, ... ), a feature vector extraction unit (11) that extracts feature vectors configured of multiple types of numerical values on the basis of the log information, a fault information input unit (13) that receives an input of fault information relating to a fault occurred in the system, a fault information processing unit (14) that stores a fault-state feature vector extracted on the basis of log info1mation acquired from a predetermined period before the occurrence of the fault to the occurrence of the fault, and fault information relating to the fault in association with each other, and a fault prediction unit that predicts the fault occurs in the system, on the basis of a determination of whether a nomal-state feature vector extracted on the basis of log information acquired during a normal operation of the system is similar to any of the fault-state feature vectors.
