Abstract
La copolimerización de etileno (E) y metacrilato de metoxipolietilenglicol (MPEGMA) produce el copolímero co-E-MPEGMA. Estos copolímeros son distintos del polietileno, por ejemplo, polietileno de baja densidad (LDPE) injertado con MPEGMA, es decir, g-E-MPEGMA, y son útiles en la preparación de fundas de aislamiento para cables de tensión media, alta y extra alta. Tales cables exhiben buena resistencia a la arborescencia de agua.
