Abstract

The invention refers to medicine, particularly to maxillofacial surgery. Summary of the invention consists in that the device for determining the site of surgical intervention in the zygomatic arch fractures consists of a cylindrical metal rod having a length of 4,0 cm and a diameter of 0,2 cm, in the middle of which it is rigidly, perpendicularly fixed another metal rod with the same diameter and a length of 0,5 cm. The method for determining the site of surgical intervention in the zygomatic arch fractures consists in that in the fractureÆs region it is fixed to the face skin the claimed device, at the same time the rod of a greater length is applied along the zygomatic arch, and the rod of a smaller length is pressed on the fractureÆs region where it is established the prominence of the fractured fragment and it is determined the site of surgical intervention.
