Claims (14)

  1. 다음 일반식의 광학적 활성 화합물.
    상기식에서, X는 다음 일반식의 구조를 가지며,
    B는 탄소수 1내지 12의 알킬, 키랄 그룹 또는 다음 일반식의 그룹이며,
    R및 R1은 독립적으로 수소 또는 C1내지 C12의 알킬, 알콕시, 알킬카보닐옥시 또는 알콕시카보닐이며;
    각각의 환은 동일하거나 상이할 수 있으며, 독립적으로, 임의로 알킬, 시아노 또는 할로겐 치환된 페닐, 트란스-사이클로헥실, 피리딜, 피리미딜, 비사이클로(2, 2, 2)옥틸 또는 디옥산으로부터 선택되며, 각각의 A 및 D는 동일하거나 상이할 수 있으며, 독립적으로 단일 결합, COO, OOC, CH=N, N=CH, CH20, OCH2또는 CH(CH3), 또는 이러한 그룹중의 두개의 조합물로부터 선택되며, 각각의 a 및 d는 독립적으로 0또는 1이며, Y는 COO, OOC,-O-또는 단일 결합으로부터 선택되며; W는 단일 결합,
    (여기서, n, m 및 p 는 독립적으로 0내지 10이다)으로부터 선택되며; Z 및 Z1은 독립적으로 CN, Cl, F, Br 또는 CF3이며; 단, Z가 Cl또는 CN이고 B가알킬인 경우, X-Y-는
  2. 제1항에 있어서,임을 특징으로 하는 화합물.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, B가 사이클로헥실, n-알킬 또는 다음 일반식(B′)의 촉쇄 또는 광학적 활성 알킬 그룹임을 특징으로 하는 화합물.
    상기식에서, t는 0또는 1내지 6의 정수이며, n 및 m은 동일하거나 상이하며, 1내지 6의 값을 갖는다.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, B가 일반식(B′)의 구조를 가지고, t가 0 또는 1이며, n 또는 m중의 최소한 하나가 1임을 특징으로 하는 화합물.
  5. 제2항에 있어서, 하기의 3, 1, 내지 3, 9로부터 선택되는 일반식을 가짐을 특징으로 하는 화합물;
    상기식에서, R1은 C3내지 C12의 n-알킬 또는 n-알콕시이고, R2는 시이클로헥실, C1내지 C12의 n-알킬 또는 C3내지 C12의 측쇄 또는 광학적 활성 알킬이다.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, R2가 CH2, n-C4H9, CH(CH3)2, CH2CH(CH3)2또는 CH(CH3)C2H5로부터 선택되며, R1은 C8내지 C10의 n-알킬 또는 n-알콕시임을 특징으로 하는 화합물.
  7. 최소한 하나의 화합물이 제2항 내지 제6항중의 어느 한 항에서 청구된 화합물임을 특징으로 하는, 최소한 두 화합물인 강유전성 스멕틱 액정물질.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 다음 일반식의 화합물을 최소한 하나 함유함을 특징으로 하는 물질;
    상기식에서, RA및 RB는 독립적으로 C1내지 C12의 n-알킬 또는 n-알콕시이다.
  9. 제7항에 있어서, 다음 일반식의 화합물을 최소한 하나 함유함을 특징으로 하는 물질;
    상기식에서, RA및 RB는 독립적으로 C1내지 C12의 n-알킬 또는 n-알콕시이다.
  10. 제7항에 있어서, 반대편 꼬임센스의 나선형 스멕틱 상의 외관을 제2항 내지 제6항에서 청구된 최소한 하나의 화합물에 의해 혼합물중에서 유도된 외관으로 유도하는 최소한 하나의 화합물을 함유함을 특징으로 하는 물질.
  11. 제7항에 있어서, 제5항에 기재한 일반식3, 1 내지 3, 9의 화합물중의 최소한 하나의 에난티오머 형태를 함유함을 특징으로 하는 물질.
  12. 제7항에 있어서, 다음 일반식의 화합물을 또한 함유함을 특징으로 하는 물질.
  13. 제8항에 있어서, RA및 RB는 가 광학적 활성 알킬 또는 알콕시 그룹인 화합물 최소한 하나를또한 포함함을 특징으로 하는 물질.
  14. 제7항에서 청구된 물질이 혼입되어 있음을 특징으로 하는 액정 전기-광학적 표시장치.
