Description
The present invention relates to a reactor vessel outer wall cooling system using a sealing plate and a rupture plate that can quickly and stably cool the reactor vessel outer wall during a core meltdown accident of a nuclear power plant.
In the event of a serious accident at a nuclear power plant, the core melt may fall into the reactor cavity through the breakage of the reactor vessel. Here, the core melt is a high-temperature molten material in which nuclear uranium enriched in the reactor core, zirconium used as a cladding material, silver and cadmium as control rod materials, and a plurality of materials constituting the reactor vessel are mixed. Say
Since the core melt generates heat due to the collapse of the nuclear fission product therein, it is necessary to cool the core melt quickly to reduce further damage.
Conventionally, the pump is operated to cool the core melt in the core melt accident to supply the cooling water of the In-Containment Refueling Water Storage Tank (IRWST) to the reactor cavity to cool the core melt, and to the reactor cavity. Cooling water that is evaporated after filling the cooling water was supplemented by operating a boric acid supplement pump (BAMP).
However, the reactor cavity has a problem that it is difficult to quickly cool the core melt due to the large volume of the conventional cooling system because it takes too long to complete the filling of the cooling water.
According to embodiments of the present invention, there is provided a reactor vessel outer wall cooling system using a sealing plate that can safely and quickly cool down the core melt generated during a serious accident in a nuclear power plant, and the core melt flowing out of the reactor vessel is spread. The purpose is to provide a rupture tube system that allows movement to the area.
The cooling system of the reactor vessel outer wall according to the above-described embodiments of the present invention includes a reactor vessel, a cooling water supply pipe connecting the inside of the reactor cavity and the reloading water tank, and the cooling water stored in the reloading water tank to the bottom of the sealing plate. A cooling water supply unit for supplying the reactor cavity internal space of the reactor, a sealing plate provided in close contact with the inner wall of the reactor cavity to shorten the time for filling the cooling water in the reactor cavity provided with the reactor vessel, and the sealing plate, It is configured to include a bursting plate that is ruptured when a pressure of a predetermined size or more is applied to open the sealing plate. In this case, the bursting plate is ruptured and opened by the pressure difference generated when the core melt flows out of the reactor vessel to generate a vapor explosion.
According to one side, the rupture plate is formed to close the hole formed through the sealing plate, it may be formed so as to rupture when the pressure is applied above a predetermined pressure to open the hole. Here, the bursting plate may be formed so that some or all of the bursting plates are broken and opened. In addition, the bursting plate may be formed to be opened in the shape of a lotus when pressure is applied.
According to one side, the rupture plate is provided with a plurality, it may be disposed radially from the sealing plate.
As described above, according to the embodiments of the present invention, by providing a sealing plate in the reactor vessel cavity to reduce the filling space of the cooling water, the filling time of the cooling water in the reactor cavity can be shortened to quickly cool the reactor vessel. .
In addition, the core melt reacts with the cooling water in the filling space when it flows out of the reactor vessel, and as the explosive vapor is generated, the pressure increases instantaneously and the bursting plate provided in the sealing plate is opened to open the core melt. Moving to the lower spread area to allow long-term cooling, it can improve reliability by providing various and multiple cooling methods in case of core melt accidents.

The
