The feed timing is set synchronizing the action of the optical scanning system 11 for exposure. Here, a means is provided which reciprocates the optical scanning system 11 at the time of exchanging the originals like the ordinary exposure action. Therefore, when the originals are exchanged, the feeding of a copying paper can be performed by not performing the exposure action but by reciprocating the optical scanning system 11 exactly like the ordinary exposure action. Thus, ealier feeding can always be performed, whereby recording can be accelerated.
