Abstract

PURPOSE: To control radioactivity contamination and improve the safety of work by cutting concrete on the circumference portion of a radioactivity contaminated pipe embedded in a concrete body. When the pipe is embedded deeply, holes 5 are formed partway along the length, and the intermediate portions of the pipe 2 are exposed. Subsequently the right and left sides of the pipe 2 are cut vertically, it is cut in the facing directions from the lower end, and the periphery of the pipe 2 is cut away, the exposed portions of the pipe 2 in the holes 5 are hooked and suspended together with the concrete 1 and removed.
