Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve usage convenience of a seat heater by constituting it in such a way that when an occupancy of a seat is detected, the heater is energized and when no occupancy is detected the heater is de-energized. CONSTITUTION:Seat cushions of seats SH1-SH4 have heaters HR1a-HR4a, respectively. Detecting electrodes EL1 to EL4 of seating sensors are also provided for the seats. When a person sits on the seat, the static electricity capacity of the detecting electrode of that seat is increased, a pulse oscillator 41 oscillates at a low frequency and a counter starts counting up and sends a signal to CPU1 via a P/S regester. Responding to the input signal, CPU1 has a corresponding heater energized to heat. When the person leaves the seat, CPU1 stops heating. Thus, switching operation each time can be eliminated so that the convenient usage is facilitated.
