Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a proper fit between heat sealable film and food, regardless of its size, by spreading out the film with its holes at one end in engagement with pins and engaging its other end with the pins after the film is folded upwardly and pulled reversely, whereby the content can be wrapped with the contacting overlap between both ends of the film sealed by a sealer. CONSTITUTION:A heat sealable film 1 is spread out on the inclined stand 2b of an impulse sealer wit its holes 1b at one end in engagement with pins 3 on the sealer. The heat sealable film 1 is then passed under a guide bar 4 located on the front side of the inclined stand 2b and folded upwardly over the guide bar, as if by hooking, and when pulled in the reverse direction, slits 1a provided in the film are opened assuming a net-like, slightly recessed contour of the film surface, particularly in the central area of the film. Next, the content 5 such as fish is placed in the center of the heat sealable film 1 and its other end is engaged with the pins 3 to wrap the content 5. The resulting contacting overlap between both ends of heat sealable film 1 is heat sealed by the impulse sealer, cut along the outside of a sealed portion 6 and the package is removed from the guide bar 4, thus the packing operation being completed. Therefore, this packing operation is much easier than by the conventional method and the content can be packed always in a desirable condition.
