The roll (a) consists of a small-diameter roll 14 and a large-diameter roll 15, while the roll (b) consists of a large-diameter roll 18 and a small-diameter roll 19. The rolled stocks 7, 8 which have departed from the slit rolls 9 are guided by the guide upward and downward and rolled in width between the vertical rolls 14, 15 and between the vertical rolls 15, 19. Since intervals between the vertical rolls and the slit rolls are short and the vertical rolls (a), (b) required no power, the installation cost is reduced.
