Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform mass production of cullet having good quality by removing light foreign materials by treating crushed mixture of waste glass contg. foreign materials with a sorting mechanism, separating then the crushed product in to large pieces and small pieces with a screen feeder, then separating glass pieces from a mixture contg. metallic foreign material with the sorting machine and a second sorting machine, thus performing the treatment automatically and mechanically. CONSTITUTION:Crushed waste glass contg. foreign materials is transported to a charging path 11 of a sorting mechanism 1, and light foreign materials such as aluminum piece, paper, plastic, etc., are removed from a discharging port 19. Glass pieces contg. metallic foreign materials are thrown down to a screen feeder 2 from the discharging port 14, transported while vibrating on a transporting base 23 to separate there into large and small pieces, which is transferred respectively to a sorter 3a and 3b via transfer board 27a, 27b, and discharging guides 20a, 20b. Good product consisting only of sorted glass pieces sorted by the sorter 3a, 3b via a metal sensor 35, and switching damper 34, etc., are transported with a good product conveyor 4, and non-conforming product contg. metallic foreign materials is transported with a non-conforming product conveyor 5a, 5b to the second sorter 6, and separated into a group of glass pieces and a group of metallic foreign materials with a vibration feeder 62, and discharged respectively out of a discharging port.
