Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool a cabin appropriately at all times by controlling an electric switching means for switching a part of nonazeotropic mixed refrigerant to be closed only when the difference between the cabin temperature and a desired temperature exceeds a specified level otherwise opened thereby utilizing the cooling capacity of low boiling point refrigerant and high boiling point refrigerant effectively. CONSTITUTION: When an electric switch means is opened, high boiling point refrigerant is converted through a storage cooler 100 into low temperature state and returned back to a compressor while low boiling point refrigerant is cooled and stored. Since the low boiling point refrigerant is cooled by the high boiling point refrigerant under a low temperature state, the low boiling point refrigerant can be separated and stored in a short time and actual temperature in the cabin can be sustained gently at a desired level by lowering the cooling capacity of an evaporator quickly. When the actual temperature in the cabin rises, a flow control valve 70 is closed and the low boiling point refrigerant is returned from the storage cooler 100 back to the compressor through a duct 10 and then circulated through a first converting means and the evaporator to increase the cooling capacity of the evaporator thus realizing quick cooling of the cabin.
