Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the transmission of a light signal between electronic apparatus disposed in proximity to each other with substantially no deterioration of the signal by alternately connecting plural optical fibers and deflecting elements which are fewer by one piece than the fibers, connecting the ends on the non-connected sides of the deflecting elements at both ends optical connectors respectively and integrally coating all the optical fibers and deflecting elements. CONSTITUTION:The optical fibers 8, 9 are respectively fixed at one end to the optical connectors 6, 7 and the other ends of the fibers 8, 9 are fixed to one face sandwiching the right angle of rectangular prisms 10, 11 respectively. Both ends of the common optical fiber 12 are respectively fixed and connected to the other faces sandwiching the right angle of the prisms 10, 11. The fibers 8, 9, 12 and the prisms 10, 11 are integrally coated by the coating material 13 and are formed as a piece of cable 3 which is bent square at the points just before both ends. The apparatus which are disposed in proximity are thereby connected by hardly bending the fibers 8, 9, 12 themselves. The transmission quality is thus improved.
