ぼ一定速度で走行している時は黒煙はほとんど排
出されないし、また、比較的低い空燃比の場合に

炎の温度が燃料噴霧の粒子や燃焼室壁によつて低
められて完成燃焼が妨げられ、煤煙を発生し易
い。また、急激な加速時には、燃焼室の温度上昇
が燃料の急増加に伴わず、不完全燃焼となつて黒
煙を発生し易くなる。更に、エンジンが新しいう
ちは黒煙は余り出ないが、古くなると出易くな
る。これはエンジンにおける圧縮圧力が低下する
ことによるものと考えられる。

ールボツクスにおいて制御しつつ、マニホールド
に配設した噴射ノズルから噴射して吸入空気と一
緒にシリンダー内に吸入させることを特徴とする
デイーゼルエンジンの黒煙防止装置であつて、図
面はその実施例を示すものである。図中1はデイ
ーゼルエンジン、2はシリンダーヘツド、3はマ
ニホールド、4はエアクリーナーである。5は油
圧スイツチで、その取付穴にオイル取出パイプ6
を配する。7はオイル取出パイプ6の取付ボルト
である。オイル取出パイプ6はマニホールド3ま
で延ばし、その先端に設けたオイル噴射ノズル8
をマニホールド3内に臨ませる。9は油量コント
ロールボツクスで、これにオイル取出パイプ6を
通すことにより油量調整を行なう。この油量コン
トロールボツク9は、アクセルペダル10の踏込
度合によつて操作される噴射ポンプ11のコント
ロールアーム12の動きに連動して油量調整を行
なうようにする。
