Currently, the snow protection device mainly used in Japan is a snow protection fence that has pillars erected and elongated flat plates (slats) installed between the pillars. In Europe as well, horizontal or vertical slat type snow fences are used to prevent snow from drifting onto highways (roads). For example, when installing a snow fence along a highway, it is said that it is appropriate to set the distance from the highway upwind to the snow fence 10 to 15 times the height of the snow fence.

However, when these slat-type snow fences are installed along roads and railroad tracks, their height increases by 2 to 3 meters.
As a result, the scenery along the railway line was blocked off, giving drivers and passengers a sense of discomfort.

In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the inventors of the present invention conducted intensive research to provide a snow protection device that, even when installed along road/railway tracks, does not block the view of the area and fully exhibits its snow protection function. The snow prevention device proposed by the present inventor is generally referred to as a snowdrift type, and is usually installed upwind of a road or railroad track, and the snow carried by the ground blizzard is collected on the windward side of the snow prevention device and between the snow prevention device and the road (or railroad track). )
The aim is to prevent the accumulation on roads (or railway tracks) as much as possible.

In order to generate these phenomena, first a small turbulent flow is generated on the windward side of the snow protection device, and a large turbulent flow is instantaneously generated immediately below the leeward side. It is also necessary to gradually reduce the wind speed on the leeward side of the snow protection device and increase the wind speed again near the road (or railway).

In order to cause the above-mentioned phenomenon without blocking the scenery along the railroad, the inventor of the present invention found that it is necessary for the snow prevention device to be a snow prevention device that uses a sheet-like body with holes uniformly perforated throughout, rather than by assembling slats. , and various studies were conducted focusing on the fact that the size of the pores in the perforated sheet and the ratio of the pores (porosity) are decisive factors in causing the above phenomenon. In particular, it was discovered that the position and size of turbulent flow and the phenomenon of disappearance of turbulent flow are determined by the average diameter of the pores in a perforated sheet, and the attenuation of wind speed is determined by the porosity of the perforated sheet. FIG. 1 shows an example of a perforated sheet 1 in which perforations 2 are uniformly distributed. Although the shape of the through hole is approximately diamond-shaped in FIG. 1, it may be rectangular, circular, oval, or hexagonal. The average diameter of the pores 2 in the pore sheet 1 is 2 to 10
mm. Here, the "average diameter" is defined as {long diameter a+breadth b}/2 from the long axis a and the short axis b, as shown in FIG. Also, the through holes 2 of the through hole sheet 1
is distributed throughout the sheet and requires an open area ratio of 20 to 50%. Materials for the perforated sheet 1 include synthetic resin, metal, wood, etc. Among these, synthetic resin fused net has excellent corrosion resistance and is lightweight, so it is easy to install and can be removed during the off-season. This is preferable because it is easy to store and manage. There are various synthetic resins that can be used, but polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, and polypropylene are particularly suitable. The method for manufacturing this synthetic resin fused net is described in detail in, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 4185/1985. In addition to this, a punching board or a net-like material made of woven linear bodies can also be used.

In the snow prevention device described above, various perforated sheets with dimensions of 1 m in height and 3 m in width, with approximately diamond-shaped through-holes and evenly distributed through-holes are constructed in a panel shape as shown in Figure 2, and are viewed from the ground. They are installed approximately 25 meters upwind from the road in a direction approximately perpendicular to the wind direction, with an interval of approximately 0.5 m, and are used as snow prevention devices to create and eliminate turbulence before and after the snow prevention device, attenuate wind speed, and prevent snow. The effects of the snow-proof perforated sheet of the present invention will be explained based on snow conditions before and after the device.

FIG. 3 shows a snow protection device 5 using the perforated sheet of the present invention, where the wind speed 6 gradually attenuates on the leeward side of the snow protection device 5, and decreases to about 1/5 between the snow protection device 5 and the road 8.
On Road 8 it starts to rise again. The turbulent flow 7 is small near the windward side of the snow protection device 5, and large turbulent flow immediately below the leeward side, and disappears rapidly immediately after that. As a result, the snow carried by the blizzard accumulates on the windward side of the snow protection device 5 and between the snow protection device 5 and the road 8, as shown by the shaded area in FIG. 3, and hardly accumulates on the road 8.

On the other hand, Figure 4 shows a snow protection device 5' that uses a perforated sheet with an average diameter of 2 mm or less and a porosity of 20% or less, and the wind speed of 6' is rapidly attenuated on the leeward side of the snow protection device 5'. However, between the snow prevention device 5' and the road 8', it attenuates to less than 1/5, and begins to rise again on the road 8'. However, the turbulent flow 7' is largely generated near the windward side of the snow protection device 5', and is less likely to occur immediately below the leeward side. As a result, the snow carried by the blizzard is removed by the snow prevention device 5'.
It flies up on the windward side of the snow and does not fly up on the leeward side, so a lot of snow accumulates around the windward side of the snow protection device 5' as shown in the shaded area in Fig. 4, and gradually becomes large enough to cover the snow protection device 5'. The function of the snowdrift type snow prevention device will no longer be maintained. Additionally, the holes may become blocked by snow.

In addition, turbulence 7" only occurs to a small extent in the vicinity of the front and back of the snow protection device 5".As a result, the snow carried by the ground blizzard Even after passing through the snow prevention device 5'', the snow continues to move along with the blizzard, resulting in snow accumulation as shown in the shaded area in FIG. 5, which makes it completely ineffective as a snowdrift type snow prevention device.

As described above, the perforated sheet for snow prevention of the present invention is extremely effective as a snowdrift type snow prevention device, and is also useful even when installed along a road or railway line without blocking the scenery along the line.

As can be easily seen from the above-mentioned functions of the perforated sheet according to the present invention, it can of course be used not only for snow protection but also for wind protection.
