Abstract

PURPOSE:To expand a total control range by independently replacing a photosensitive body cartridge and a developing cartridge respectively and forming a means for switching the image control of each independent copying machine body. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body cartridge A including at least a photosensitive body 6 and the developing cartridge B including at least a developing device 7 can be independently replaced respectively from the device body. Each cartridge has one or more means for switching the control of the copying machine body and the controlled system of at least one control means out of plural ones is made to coincide. Consequently, the total control range can be expanded, the degree of freedom of selecting a photosensitive body or a developing device an be increased and an image forming device having excellent picture quality and reduced at its copying cost can be obtained.

(Prior Art) A conventional image forming apparatus of this type has a configuration as shown in FIG. The disadvantage was that service costs were high because the operator had to switch the high-voltage output of the charger and adjust the lead ball. In addition, in recent years, so-called process cartridge type copying devices have been commercially available that have a photoreceptor drum, cleaning device, developer, etc. all integrated into one unit, but this type of copying device does not allow for changes in the characteristics of the photoreceptor, each of which has different characteristics. Since the characteristics of the developing device are changed by one control switch, the control range is limited, and the selection of characteristics of the photoreceptor and the developing device is restricted.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The present invention has been made in view of the above, and its object is to independently replace a photoconductor cartridge containing at least a photoconductor and a developer cartridge containing at least a developing device. By providing means for switching the image control of each copying machine body independently, the total control range can be widened.

(Embodiment) FIG. 1 is a schematic sectional view of a copying apparatus according to the present invention. In this copying machine, a photoconductor cartridge, indicated by A, consisting of a photoconductor IJ-ning device and a charger, and a developing cartridge, indicated by B, consisting of a developing device and a hopper, are each removable from the copying machine main body. There is.

Here, an embodiment of control using a cartridge is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. 13a to 13c in the figure are control switching magnets attached to the drum kit, and by setting the photoreceptor cartridge in the direction of arrow A, the reed relays 14a to 14C are actuated, depending on the position and number of magnets. It is possible to send a signal to the high voltage power supply and light amount control circuit 15 to control the output of the high voltage power source 16 and the output of the light amount adjustment circuit 17 at the same time. Similarly, by setting the developing cartridge in the direction of arrow B in the copying machine main body, the output of the developing bias power source 2] and the output of the high voltage power source I6 can be controlled simultaneously.

In the above embodiment, a control detection means is used, but it is also possible to use a detection means such as a spacer and a microswitch or a sensor (the number and arrangement of the sensors can be arbitrarily selected). The combination of outputs to be used is not limited either.

Here, the combinations shown in Table 1 were used for control. 1st
In the table, fluctuations in the halftone potential and dark potential due to fluctuations in the sensitivity and chargeability of the photoreceptor of the photoreceptor cartridge are reduced by controlling the lamp voltage and high voltage power supply output, and differences in developability due to the development cartridge are reduced. It is corrected by controlling the DC component of the bias and the level of the dark potential, and although it is not listed in the table, it is corrected by controlling the DC component of the bias and the dark potential level.
It also controls the N-OFF timing. By switching the control described above, stable image quality can be obtained at all times even if the photoreceptor cartridge or developer cartridge is replaced. This experimental example is an example, and the photoreceptor is OF(
, Psi (silicon), etc., and it is sufficient to always select the control item that is suitable for the photoreceptor.

(Effects) As explained above, the photoconductor cartridge containing at least the photoconductor and the developer cartridge containing at least the developing device can be independently replaced with respect to the apparatus main body, and each cartridge can control one or more of the copying machine main bodies. By having at least one of the control means control the same object, the total control range can be widened, and the degree of freedom in selecting photoreceptors and developing devices can be increased. At the same time, it was possible to provide an image forming apparatus with good image quality and low copy cost.
