Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit to reduce the height of the titled machine and install the same in the garret of a building, which is limited in the installation space thereof, easily by a method wherein an air blow-off port and two sets of atmosphere suction ports are arranged on the same line horizontally while a heat exchanger and a fan are arranged in the same horizontal plane at the back surface side of the blow-off port in an outer casing. CONSTITUTION:An air blow-off port 3 and atmosphere suction ports 2, arranged at both sides of the blow-off port 3, are arranged on the front surface of the outer casing 1 of an outdoor machine on substantially the same line horizontally while a heat exchanger 4 and a fan 5 are provided on the same horizontal plane at the back surface side of the blow-off port 3 in the outer casing. The suction part 23a of an air passageway, connected to the suction port, is formed at both sides of the heat exchanger and the fan while a machine chamber 7, partitioned by the side plate 25 of the air passageway, is provided in the outer casing. According to this arrangement, the height of the outer casing 1 is determined by the maximum value of the heat exchanger 4 or the fan 5 and the outdoor machine, whose height is low, may be obtained. In case the outdoor unit is installed in the garret of a house such as a building, ducts 17, 18 may be installed on the same level with each other by avoiding the beam 12 of a floor 11 without intersecting the suction duct 17 with the blow-off duct 18 in the form of a grade separation.

Next, the installation state of the outdoor unit configured as above is shown in the eighth section.
As shown in Fig. 9. 9 is an outdoor unit, 10 is a hanging bolt for suspending and fixing the outdoor unit 9, 11 is a floor on the upper floor of the building, and 12 is a beam of the floor 11 that extends into the ceiling. 1
3 is a ceiling board, 14 is an outer wall provided with an outside air inlet 15 and an outside air outlet 16, and 17 and 18 are an outdoor unit 9 and an outer wall 1.
These are a suction duct and a blowout duct that connect the suction ports 2 and 15 and the Suita ports 3 and 16 of No. 4. These ducts 17 and 1
8, although the suction port 2 and the Suita port 3 of the outdoor unit 9 are located at the bottom and the top, the suction port 15 and the Suita port 16 of the outer wall 14 are horizontally arranged side by side, so there is a grade-separated intersection. ing. The reason why the suction port 15 and the Suita port 16 of the outer wall 14 are arranged side by side is to ensure the strength of the outer wall 14 and to allow the beam 12 to protrude above the ceiling.

The outside air guided from the suction port 15 of the outer wall 14 through the duct 17 by the drive of the blower 5 is transferred from the suction port 2 to the heat exchanger P.
! After passing through #4 and exchanging heat with the refrigerant, which is an air conditioning medium, it is sucked and pressurized by the blower 5, passes through the outlet 3 and the duct 18, and is discharged from the outlet 16 of the outer wall 14 to the outside of the building. It is blown out and released into the atmosphere.

The outdoor unit of a conventional air conditioner is configured as described above, with the inlet and outlet located at the bottom and top, resulting in a high height that can be installed in the ceiling of a building or other building. When installing in a narrow place with limited installation space, especially in a narrow place with limited height, installation and inspection and maintenance are not easy. Also, the inlet and outlet on the outside wall of the building are arranged side by side. It is necessary to intersect the suction duct and the outlet duct, and the shape of these ducts becomes complicated, making connection work difficult. As the suction duct and outlet duct intersect, the duct becomes long and has many bends. Therefore, there was a problem that wind pressure loss increased and capacity decreased.

The outdoor unit of this embodiment has a heat exchanger 4 as shown in FIG.
Since the air blower 4 (i5) is placed on the same horizontal plane on the back side of Since the suction port 2 and the Suita port 3 are arranged side by side almost horizontally on the front surface of the outer M1, their heights, that is, their thickness, are also the same as the height of the outer box 1. Furthermore, since the inlet 15 and the outlet 16 of the building's outer wall 14 are horizontally lined up, the inlet duct 17 and the outlet duct 18 are not intersected by three-dimensional intersections, and can be made smaller. When installing the outdoor unit in the ceiling of a building, avoid the beam 12 on the floor 11 and install the duct 1.
7.18 can be installed flatly.

FIG. 4 shows another embodiment. In this embodiment, the blower 5 is attached to the outer box 1 by means of the mounting plate 24, with the Suita port 5b facing the front.
A planar U-shaped heat exchanger 4, which is fixed to the front part of the inner box and surrounds the back and both sides of the blower 5, is fixed to the outer box 1 by a mounting plate 24, and the machine room 7 is partitioned by a side plate 25 and is connected to the outside. An air passage 23 is formed around the outer periphery of the heat exchanger vs4 inside the box 1. In the outdoor unit of this embodiment, the same effects as those of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 described above can be obtained, and
Since the heat exchange '#j4 is large, the effect of increasing the capacity can be obtained.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the heat exchanger and the blower are provided on the same horizontal plane on the Suita opening provided on the front side of the outer box, so that the height of the outer box can be reduced. It can be installed at a low height, making it easy to transport when installing in a space such as the ceiling of a building, especially where height is restricted.
Installation work is also easier. Furthermore, according to the present invention, the air outlet and the suction ports arranged on both sides of the air outlet are arranged side by side, almost horizontally, on the front of the outer box, so that the suction duct and the outlet duct are separated by a three-dimensional intersection. The duct can be installed almost horizontally without causing any damage, making duct connection work easier.
The wind pressure loss is reduced, and since the wind pressure loss is further reduced, the performance of the outdoor unit is improved.
