【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は内燃機関吸・排気バルブのステム部を
摺動自在に嵌挿するバルブガイドに関する。

内燃機関の吸・排気バルブ開閉機構において

ルブガイドの摩耗が増大してついにはひび割れを
生じたりすることがあつた。

かかるバルブの曲げ応力発生を抑制するために
はバルブのステム部とバルブガイドのクリアラン

てバルブガイドの偏摩耗を促進させてしまう。一
方、特に排気バルブにおいては、バルブ温度の過
昇をステム部からバルブガイドへの放熱によつて
抑制するためこの面ではステム部とバルブガイド
とのクリアランスを小さくする方が望ましい。
又、排気バルブをヘツド部からステム部下部にか
けて高熱強度耐腐蝕性に優れた21−4N鋼で形成
し、SUH3鋼製等のステム部上部と溶接結合した
ものがあるが、このものでは21−4N鋼の熱膨脹
係数が大きいためにステム部下部とバルブガイド
との間にカジリを生じることがあつた。
