Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely contain a printed recording paper into a containing part, by a construction wherein a recording paper is cut to a length larger than the distance from a bottom part of a recording paper containing part to a cutting part of a cutter, irrespective of a recording length. CONSTITUTION:A CPU11 rotates a stepping motor 15 through a stepping motor controlling circuit 13 and a driver 14, and causes a line counter 16 to count the number of steps by which the motor 15 is driven. On the other hand, a head controller 19 drives a recording head 1 through a driver 20 in accordance with a recording signal. When it is discriminated that recording is completed, it is discriminated whether or not the number (n) of the steps of the motor 15 has reached a step number N previously stored in a memory 12. When n=N, the motor 15 is rotated by (m) steps to feed the recording paper to the side of the containing part, the paper is cut by the cutter, then the motor 15 is reversely rotated by (m) steps, and control is stopped. When n<N, the motor 15 is rotated until the condition of n=N is obtained.

The reference numeral 8 is a recording paper wound into a roll. The recording paper guided from this is passed between the head 1 and the platen 2, and after a predetermined recording is performed, it is passed between the cutter 3 and the recording paper. The paper passes between the paper guides 6 and 7 arranged on the paper guides 6 and 7 and is guided to the paper storage section 9 side over the movable blade 3a of the cutter 3.

When the second sheet of recording paper 8b is sent in this state, the leading edge of this recording sheet 81] will be inserted into the first recording sheet as shown in FIG.
1k8a, and because the recording paper 8a is curled, it cannot move downward, and ends up protruding from the opening 10 of the device in a curved manner, and eventually the paper 8a as shown in FIG. As shown in the figure, the second recording paper 8b flies out to the outside and cannot be stored.

Incidentally, in order to take out the recording paper stored in the storage section 9, it is sufficient to open the first member 4 located on the outside to the outside as shown by the chain line. Therefore, each time the recording paper is cut short, the first member 4 is opened and the short recording paper 8a is cut.
The problem is that this is an extremely complicated process.

That is, the recording paper 8 has been set to N as shown in FIG.
The length of t steps, which is shorter than the step, is not cut, and as shown in FIG. 9, even if the number of printed lines is small, it is always cut to the length of N stamps.

As a result, the first sheet of recording paper is stored in the storage section 9 as shown by reference numeral 8a in FIG. 4, and its lower end is stored in the storage section 7;
0 no J' (even if it is stored in contact with section 9.1, its upper end (ri) can always be located near the cutter 3, and as shown in FIG. 5, the second recording paper 8b Even when it is ejected, it is always stored inside the first recording paper 8a.

Therefore, the length of the recording paper fed out according to the set number of steps N of the stepping motor 15 must be the length from the vicinity of the cutter 3 to the bottom 9a of the storage section 9, taking into account the curl of the recording paper. If this is done, all the recording sheets will be cut to the same length and will not fly out of the recording device as in the conventional case.

Effects As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, regardless of how the recording is hung, the recording paper is always cut at a length of two inches from the bottom of the recording paper storage section to the cutting line of the cutter. Because of this structure, the second and subsequent recording sheets can always be guided into the storage section along the inside of the previous recording sheet, and will not fly out to the outside as in the conventional case.
