Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorescent display tube, in which any waning of the letters of segments can be effectively prevented, by situating parts of the wiring patterns of segment electrodes along the outer peripheries of said segment electrode patterns. CONSTITUTION:A part of the wiring 2a of a segment electrode 1a is situated along the outer periphery on the cathode side of the electrode 1a, and a part of the wiring 2h of a segment electrode 1h is situated along the outer periphery on the cathode side of the electrode 1h. In addition, a part of the wiring 2d of a segment electrode 1d, which is provided with a branch, is situtated along the outer periphery on the cathode side of the electrode 1d. As a result, when the electrodes 1a, 1d and 1h are in lighting states, the charge of an insulating layer 3 is eliminated due to the wirings 2a, 2d and 2h of the electrodes 1a, 1d and 1h thermselves, and electrons are prevented from flying. Consequently, any waning of letters can be prevented.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION This is a book relating to wiring patterns of the present invention, fluorescent display tubes, and particularly segment electrodes thereof. - FIG. 1 shows this type of wiring pattern commonly used in conventional fluorescent display tubes. In the figure, a segment electrode 1i1a as an anode forming a character pattern and a dot pattern is shown.

As shown in the figure, an insulating layer 3 is formed between the segment electrode @AI and the wiring @2, and electrical connection is made only through a through hole 4. In the cross-sectional structure shown in FIG. 2, reference numeral 5 indicates a glass substrate, on the surface of which the wirings 2. Segment electrodes 1 and insulating layer 3 are sequentially formed. Further, a phosphor 6 is adhered on the surface of the segment electrode 11, and above it (a grid 7, a filament-shaped cathode 8 is arranged, a face glass 9 is placed over it, and a vacuum tree is formed). This cathode 8 is disposed parallel to the wirings 21 to 2F above the centers of segment electrodes 1b and 1f and above the centers of segment electrodes 1c and 1, as shown by broken lines in FIG. be.

When the fluorescent display tube having the above configuration is turned on, thermionic electrons generated at the cathode 8 and accelerated by the grid 7 mainly fly to the segment electrode 1 at a positive potential, and the fluorescent light formed there. The body 6 is excited to emit light, but
Note that some of the electrons are charged on the insulating/layer 3, and particularly those charged near the segment electrodes prevent the electrons from flying to the segment electrodes I. This rounding causes a so-called missing character phenomenon in which a part of the light emitting part, especially the inside of the segment electrodes @A1m and 1d in FIG.

In order to achieve such an object, in the present invention, a part of the wiring pattern of the segment electrode is arranged along the outer edge of the segment electrode pattern.

That is, the charge of electrons on the insulating layer 3 becomes extremely large on the wiring 2, which causes the above-mentioned segment missing characters. For this reason, for example, in FIG. 1, inside the segment electrode 1d where the wiring 2h of the segment electrode 1h is arranged close to each other in parallel,
The missing characters are significantly larger than the missing characters on the inside of the segment turtle M1m or on the upper side of the segment electrode 1h due to mere charging of the insulating layer 3.

Here, when the voltage of the wiring is in the lighting state, there is no shadow of missing characters in the rounding where the charge on the insulating layer 3 is canceled. That is, when the pole 1h of the segment electrode 1h is lit, the segment electrode 1d based on the wiring 2h is less likely to be missing, but when the segment electrode 1h is not lit, the insulating layer 3 is charged. This results in a thick hikoji missing inside segment) 1181d.

Therefore, by routing the wiring of the segment electrode along the outer edge of the pattern of the portion of the segment electrode where character defects are likely to occur, it is possible to effectively prevent the occurrence of character defects in the segment. In other words, if the missing characters in the segment become a problem, it goes without saying that the segment electrode is in the lit state.) The wiring of the segment electrode itself in the lit state is arranged along the outer edge of the segment pattern. Therefore, there will be no missing characters due to electron charge in that part. Examples will be described below.

As explained above, according to the present invention, occurrence of missing characters due to the influence of charges on the insulating layer can be effectively prevented. Furthermore, in the past, it was necessary to round the insulating layer to reduce the charge and place the grid close to the anode consisting of segment electrodes, but with the present invention, it is possible to negate the influence of this charge. As a result, it is possible to move the grid away from the anode and bring it closer to the cathode, and as a result, a display of higher brightness can be realized and various excellent effects such as φ can be achieved.
