[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to the structure of the joint between the wristwatch case and the band.

For this reason, there is a strong demand for a case and band that are integrated, but manufacturing the case and band from the same material is technically extremely difficult and the manufacturing process is complicated, so there are natural limitations. Have difficulty.

したがってケースとバンドとの別部材を接合し一体化す

Therefore, research and development has been conducted on methods of joining and integrating the separate members of the case and the band.

In other words, when joining a case with an arc-shaped side surface and a metal band, each joining surface is processed into the desired shape, then both are butted together, temporarily fixed by spot welding, the joined part is brazed, heated in a furnace, etc. loss welding was performed to create a watch exterior part with a sense of unity.

However, in the past, the arc dimensions of the joint surfaces of the case and band were processed to the same dimensions, so the processing tolerances differed depending on the processing method, resulting in uneven gaps at the joint, and the brazing metal permeated the entire surface of the joint during soldering. This often resulted in poor appearance.

In addition, even if the dimensions of the joint are made manually, spot welding results in a collection of point contacts rather than surface contact, and the resistance is uneven depending on the location, so the current flow is divided, even if the electrical input is the same. This has the disadvantage that uniform welding results cannot be obtained due to appearance defects such as dust, lights, and blowholes, and insufficient temporary fixing force due to insufficient welding strength.

In order to eliminate these drawbacks, the present invention relates to a joint structure in which the arc dimension of the band is formed smaller than the arc dimension of the case, and the bands are joined at both ends. The present invention is implemented based on the drawings below. Let's explain by example.

According to this, even if there are some variations in the processing tolerances of the case and the band, both ends 5 and 5' of the band completely contact the case.

Therefore, since the current path is restricted, the current density is increased, and the welding strength is increased with the same electrical power compared to the conventional joining method.

In addition, since the contact surface is small and limited, variations in resistance are reduced, welding defects such as dust, lights, and blowholes are reduced, and the appearance quality of the side and plane surfaces is greatly improved.

In addition, the case and band are completely joined during furnace brazing after temporary spot welding, but in the example, the gap 6 at the center of the joint is at most about 0.065 mm, and the brazing metal is sufficiently joined by capillary action. Because it penetrates into the gaps between parts, it has become possible to manufacture watch exterior parts that have a sense of unity and look exactly the same as those made from the same material.

FIG. 2 is a plan view showing another embodiment of the present invention, in which the arc size of the case and the arc size of the contact portions of both ends 7, 7' of the band are made the same, and a clearance groove 6' is provided in the center of the band. It is clear that the same effect can be obtained by temporary spot welding at both ends 7, 7' of the band and brazing at the gap groove 6'.

In addition, it is necessary to keep the gap amount at the joint part constant to some extent in response to changes in the arc dimensions of the case, but even if the amount of loss material during furnace brazing is adjusted to the gap amount, a good appearance can be achieved. Quality can be maintained.
