Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain effective wiper operation by using a timer, which is rendered operative when one of two or more rain drop sensors provided on the wiping surface detecs rain drops, and controlling the wiping speed according to the rain drop attachment state in the timer period.
CONSTITUTION: When rain drops attach to at least one of three sensors A to C, which are provided on the surface of a mirror D and each consists of two lead wires, an OR circuit 1 detects an H signal to operate a timer T1. As a result, AND circuits 2 to 4 provide H outputs during a preset period of time. If the other two sensors B and C both detect drain drops during the preset time, the AND circuits 2 to 4 provides H outputs so that a three-input AND circuit 8 provides an H signal. Thus, a timer T2 is operated to drive a motor M for a predetermined period of time, during which time a wiper E performs a wiping operation. At this time, current is supplied to the motor M without the agency of any resistor so that the wiper E is operated at a high speed.
