Abstract

PURPOSE: To mold molds without performing jolt which generate vibration and noise, by charging molding sand in a molding flask containing a pattern, pulling out plural stock members inserted into the sand, and then, by squeezing the molding sand.
CONSTITUTION: A pattern plate 5 provided with a pattern 4 is placed on a squeeze table 3 on a base 1 having a squeeze cylinder 2, and a molding flask 7 and a pileup flask 6 are put on the pattern plate 5. Then, molding sand S is charged on the pattern 4 until the molding sand reaches the top of the pileup flask. The molding sand is pressed together by supplying compressed air to the upper part of a cylinder 12 after the opening at the upper end of the pileup flask 6 is closed with a squeeze plate 13, and by inserting plural piston rods 14 into the molding sand S. Then, the piston rods 14 are raised and pulled out from the molding sand S and the lower ends of the piston rods are brought to the level of the lower surface of the holes of the squeeze plate 13. After the piston rods are pulled out, the table 3 is lifted by operating the cylinder 2 and the squeeze plate 13 is thrust into the pileup flask 6, and thus, the molding sand S is squeezed and hardened. Since this method does not adopt a jolt process, molds are molded without generating any environmental problem, such as vibration, noise.
