PURPOSE:To obtain a high speed data transmitting system which does not require any expensive MODEM, by installing two sets of transmission lines and using one of the two lines for transmitting the synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION:A data set 20 at the central device side obtains necessary timing signals by means of an oscillating circuit 21 and a timing implementing circuit 22. Transmitted data from the central device 1 are taken into a buffer 24 in the data set 20 through a line 101 and delivered to a transmission line 71 from a transmitter 25 and introduced into a receiver 32 in a terminal side data set 30. On the other hand, the above-mentioned timing signal implemented in the central device side data set 20 is transmitted to a receiver 31 in the terminal side data set 30 through a timing signal transmission line 72 installed separately from the above-mentioned data transmission line 71.
