Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain various amides useful in the fields of pharmacuticals, pesticides, etc., economically, in one step, with simple operation, by reacting an organic halogen compound, CO and a phosphoric acid triamide in the presence of a carbonylation catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: The amide of formula II (R1 is organic group such as 1W20C alkyl, 3W20C cycloalkyl, 6W20C aryl, etc.; R2 and R3 are H or organic group), e.g. N,N-dimethylbenzamide, N,N-dimethylphenylbenzamide, etc. can be prepared by reacting an organic halogen compound of formula R1X (X is halogen selected from Cl, Br and I) with a phosphoric acid triamide of formulaIand CO in a solvent or in the absence of solvent at 70W130°C under CO pressure of 10W 150kg/cm2. The yield of the objective compound can be improved by carrying out the reaction in the presence of a basic substance.
