Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately detect the rotating speed of a rotor fixed with two rotary plates formed in an involute shape at the outer peripheral edge over one revolution of the rotor by securing the plates to the rotor magnet and arranging a stator having an output coil oppositely to the plates. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet 12 axially magnetized is secured to a shaft 11 which is coupled to a rotor to be detected for its rotating speed, and rotary plates 13-1, 13-2 are mounted at both axial end faces of the magnet to form a rotor 10. The plates 13 (13-1, 13-2) are respectively formed in involute shape at the outer peripheral edges, and the projections are displaced at 180 deg.. A ring-shaped stator yoke 2 is disposed outside the rotor 10, a stator coil 3 is contained in the yoke, and pole pieces 5-1, 5-2 faced with the plates 13 are provided partly at the yoke 2. In this manner, an accurate speed voltage can be obtained from the coil 3.
