Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of deformation of parts and strengthen the bonding strength, by inserting washers to be fitted to rivets between the rivet caulked portion and the parts receiving them.
CONSTITUTION: A collar 19e is installed on the section between the large-diameter part 19a and small-diameter part 19b of a rivet 19 so that the collar and rivet become one body. The small-diameter part of rivet is inserted into holes arranged in one row and installed in a rear side plate 18, a clutch hub 12 and a turbine shell 7a, by fitting the collar 19e on the surface of a rear side plate 18 near a clutch hub 16. A ring-shaped rivet washer 27 is fitted to the loose end of the small-diameter part 19b and the loose end is caulked. Then, the rivet washer 27 is inserted between the caulked end of a rivet 19d and turbine shell 7a. In this way, the rear side plate 18, the clutch hub 12 and the turbine shell 7a are caulkedly connected to the small-diameter part of the rivet 19b at the section between the collar 19e and the caulked end 19d.
