Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the hunting of brake notch by a method wherein a holding region is set to be narrower as it approaches a stopping point by positioning a stop pattern between two patterns and a brake notch is held immediately before entering of a train into the holding region. CONSTITUTION:Hu pattern 10 is set up at the upper side of the stop pattern 2 corresponding to brake notch, and Hd pattern 11 is also set up at the lower side. Then, a holding region 12 gradually narrowing with an approaching of a train to the stop point is set up between the Hu pattern 10 and the Hd pattern 11. The transfer of brake notch 13 is not done in such a holding region 12 and the brake notch immediately before entering of a train into the holding region 12 is held. In this way, the hunting of brake notch can be reduced without deteriorating stopping accuracy.
