Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the perfomance of a compressor by making the cam ring inner face nearest to the outer face of a rotor concave while arched coaxially with the rotor such that both faces will not contact thereby reducing gas leakage at the low pressure side. CONSTITUTION:The gas compressed by a vane arranged on a rotor 3 and a tangent seal section 8 is discharged through a discharge port 9 into a high pressure chamber where the high pressure gas will leak to the suction side. In order to reduce it the inner face of a cam ring 5 at a tangent seal section 8 where the inner face of the cam ring 5 and the outer face of the rotor 3 will face each other is made concave with the gap (delta) to satisfy the relation delta<3>/l<=5.4X10<-6> (mm.<2>).
