Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution of the transmitting part, by generating two modulation pulses of the same polarity and the opposite polarity depending upon the presence and the absence of the input of a burst switching pulse and by inputting these modulation pulses to a reflex two-phase modulator. CONSTITUTION:When a burst switching pulse inputted to a modulating circuit 9 consists of a two-phase modultor 4 and an exclusive OR gate 5 is 0, a modulation pulse B of the same polarity as a main signal pulse A is outputted from the gate 5. When the burst switching pulse is 1, the modulation pulse B of a polarity opposite to that of the main signal pulse A is outputted. Modulation pulses A and B are inputted as a bias to a reflex two-phase modulator 4 consisting of modulating diodes 7 and 8 and a hybrid 6 to modulates a carrier wave from an oscillation source 1 of the transmission station. The modulator 4 outputs waves with phases modulated at 0 deg. and 180 deg. when modulation pulses A and B have the same polarity, and the modulator 4 functions as an output break switch to return the modulated wave to the input when they have polarities opposite to each other.
