Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the heat transfer efficiency by a method wherein a group of heat pipes is constituted into a unit and the plate fins of each unit are arranged relatively between the groups of heat pipes adjacent vertically to each other in a device for converter exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: In the device wherein the heat collection from the converter exhaust gas is performed through the intermediary of moving particles and a heat- pipe type heat exchanger, the heat pipes 12 are arranged vertically and divided into groups 11AW11D of heat pipes. And each of heat pipe groups 11AW11D is constituted into units 12a and 12b by pipe plates 13 and 14, a partition plate 15 and the plate fins 16. In addition, the plate fins 16 of respective units 12a and 12b are arranged relatively between the heat pipe groups 11AW11D adjacent vertically to each other. By this constitution, the increase in the heat transfer efficiency and the constitution of the pipes into units favorable for manufacture and removal are made possible.
