Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent rough idling at a low speed running by providing a characteristics that an increasing ratio of an air flow rate is kept low till a certain suction negative pressure, for a secondary air control valve used as an air fuel ratio controller.
CONSTITUTION: A secondary air is carried into a suction manifold 2 via a control valve 4. A certain negative pressure is carried into a negative pressure chamber 43 of the valve 4 via a vacuum regulator 3. A solenoid valve 6 opened or closed by a control unit 7 is provided to regulate a negative pressure which is to be transmitted to the chamber 43. A spring 42 which keeps an opening increasing ratio of a valve 44 low at a range of low negative pressures in an intake passage or at a low revolution speed range is attached to a diaphragm 41 inside the valve 4, by which a secondary air amount is restricted under a certain value to avoid a variation of idling.
