Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the residual magnetism measuring apparatus to highly accurately and readily measure the magnetism remaining in steel materials and the like as well as to be compact and light by using an analog type Hall integrated circuit.
CONSTITUTION: With a switch SW turned on, the pointer position of an indicator 4 is adjusted to read zero by using a zero adjuster 3, and the lower part of a detector 2 using the analog type Hall integrated circuit 22 is contacted with the surface of a rolled steel material being an object to be measured. Thus, a voltage corresponding to the quantity of the magnetism remaining in the steel material is generated in the Hall integrated circuit 22, and the detection signal obtained from the Hall integrated circuit 22 is supplied to an indicator 4, on which the residual magnetism quantity is shown. The measuring apparatus having such constitution is compact and light and has an excellent durability, so that it is good for a field work. Moreover, its simple constitution permits a ready and highly accurate measurement.
