Abstract
PURPOSE:To quickly perform the convergence adjustment, by detecting the amount of compensation per pattern through the picturing of compensation pattern on a convergence adjusting screen fitted with a sensor for the convergence adjustment of a projection type color receiver. CONSTITUTION:A deflection circuit 25 scans electron beams via a deflection yoke 21 in synchronizing with an incoming synchronizing signal. A video circuit 17 supplies the pattern signal made at a digital convergence circuit 23 at the convergence adjustment to a projection type receiving tube 18 to picture the adjusting pattern on a convergence adjusting screen 20. This pattern is detected with a sensor 26 consisting of photoelectric conversion elements provided on the screen 20 and the amount of correction is written in the one frame memory of a digital convergence circuit 23. This correction amount is automatically adjusted as to, e.g., green and red positions, and the convergence is adjusted every adjusting point on the screen 20.
