Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure the protection for electric equipment of trolley bus such as chopper, converter, filter capacitor or the like when the inverse voltage is impressed on trolley pole due to any false action, by inserting two diodes to prevent the impression of inverse voltage on the equipment.
CONSTITUTION: On normal condition, positive voltage is impressed on filter capacitor 3 and chopper 5 through trolley pole 1, main fuse 6, diode 9, filter reactor 7 and current breaker 8. When negative voltage is impressed on trolley pole 1, on which positive voltage is to be impressed, due to any false action, positive voltage is impressed on trolley pole 2, while inverse voltage being impressed from trolley pole 2 through diode 10 on diode 9. Therefore, converter 4, chopper 5 and filter capacitor 3 is impressed no negative voltage, thus electric equipment being protected.
