Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a feed for benthoses, e.g. ear shells or sea urchins, by forming nutriments and a binder into a flat shape.
CONSTITUTION: Nutriments effective for benthoses, e.g. powder of seaweeds, e.g. wakame, kajime (Ecklonia cava Kjellman), edible seaweeds, or sea tangles, or fish meal, defatted soybean, or cottonseed cake, are incorporated with about 10W50% of a binder, e.g. wheat gluten or starch, and, if necessary, a favorite substance, e.g. chlorophyll paste or ascorbic acid, and water to give a mixture, which is formed into a flat shape with a moisture content of 7W12%.
