Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a battery for a long period of time by reducing the mean power consumption of a unit by constituting a circuit so that power will be supplied intermittently when a subordinate station is in a stand-by state or continuously when the subordinate station detects a free-line signal. CONSTITUTION:Via a base station, a controller sends continuously a free-line signal to one (CH1) of channels ready for calling. On detecting this free-line signal by control signal detection circuit 6, a subordinate station allows channel assignment circuit 19 to start receiver local oscillator 13 and transmitter oscillator 14 corresponding to channel CH1 assigned by logical control circuit 20 and then supplies intermittently power from receiver power circuit 11 to receiver 3 under the control of pulse circuit 10. When the free-line signal is detected during a period when power is being supplied, the channel is held even in the cut-off time following the conduction time. Namely, receiver operates intermittently and holds constantly the channel while the free-line signal is detected in the conduction time. In this way, the power consumption is remarkably reduced.
